Born and raised in Spokane, Dr. Justin Burgerson received his Bachelor of Science degree from Eastern Washington University. Growing up, his rapidly progressing near-sightedness made him no stranger to the optometry office and he ultimately found a passion for optometry as he felt he could relate to the patients. Upon graduating, he enrolled at Southern California College of Optometry where he earned his Doctor of Optometry degree.
He graduated with honors and was awarded for excellence in contact lens fittings. Dr. Burgerson’s education culminated with the completion of a 1-year residency at the Mann-Grandstaff VA in Spokane where he focused on ocular disease, co-management, speciality contact lenses, low vision, and lesion removal. He began seeing patients at Schweitzer Vision Center in 2016 while completing his residency.
Dr. Burgerson aims to connect with his patients and ensures that they receive quality eye care. In his free time, he enjoys rooting for Zags basketball and Seahawks football, golfing, and spending time with his family.
